Types of Implants
Dr. Hadeed offers patients the choice between saline breast implants and silicone breast implants. There are specific benefits to each implant material, and ultimately your aesthetic goals and lifestyle will help Dr. Hadeed determine which is right for you.

Technique
Before your breast augmentation with lift, you will be given anesthesia to ensure that you do not feel any pain or discomfort during the surgery.
Once the anesthesia is administered, Dr. Hadeed will make incisions around each areola. Depending on various factors (including the implant size and correction needed), another incision may be made down the lower breast pole and extend along the inframammary fold (the crease below the breast).
The implants will be inserted into the breast pocket (either under or over the pectoral muscles), and Dr. Hadeed will tighten the tissue around the implants.
Lastly, excess skin will be excised, and your incisions will be closed.

After your Miami mastopexy augmentation, you can expect to have bruising, swelling, tightness, and some discomfort in your chest. This is completely normal, and these side effects should dissipate over the next several days. You will be required to wear a surgical bra, which minimizes swelling and protects the incisions. A drainage tube may be put in place to collect any excess blood or fluid that has built up in the area.
While the exact recovery period varies for each patient, most women are recovered from their procedure after four to six weeks.
During this time, it is important that you allow your body the rest it needs to heal. Refrain from strenuous activity, including heavy lifting, and follow all of your post-op instructions, including taking your prescribed medications, keeping your body moving with short and slow walks, stretching, and eating healthy.
