Breast Lift Surgery
Living in a place like Miami means that you constantly have the opportunity to show off your figure in that cute shirt or dress or that sexy bikini top. However, age and life events (such as pregnancy, breastfeeding, and weight loss) can cause your breasts to sag.
While sagging breasts can be unflattering and frustrating, even causing you to feel self-conscious about your appearance, breast lift surgery (mastopexy) is a cosmetic surgery that can help lift your breasts to a more youthful elevation and position.
During your consultation, Dr. Hadeed will explain the details regarding your breast lift surgery and will work with you to determine a surgical plan that meets your individual needs while creating the aesthetic results you desire.
Schedule A ConsultationHow is a Breast Lift Performed?
Breast lift surgery is generally performed under general anesthesia and usually takes several hours to complete.
Like all cosmetic surgery procedures, your consultation is important to the success of your procedure. At your breast lift consultation, you will have the chance to discuss your aesthetic frustrations and goals, and Dr. Hadeed will be able to evaluate your condition to determine which surgical approach is best for you.
During your procedure, Dr. Hadeed will reshape and tighten the breast tissue to give you a balanced and aesthetically pleasing appearance. If needed, he will surgically remove any excess breast skin and move the nipples to a more natural height. Lastly, your incisions will be closed, and you’ll be ready to begin your recovery.
This technique will not have a significant impact on the size of your breasts. Therefore, many women choose to combine this procedure with implants (to increase size) or reduction.

Types of Incisions
Depending on the level of correction needed, there are three primary incision options to choose from.
During your consultation, Dr. Hadeed will determine which is the right choice for you:
Periareolar (Donut Incision)
The periareolar incision is an incision that is made around the outer edge of the areola. This incision is used for women who require minimal correction.
Lollipop
The lollipop incision starts the same as a periareolar incision; however, an additional incision is made down the center of the lower breast pole (from the bottom of the areola to the breast crease). This incision is used for women who require a medium amount of correction.
Anchor
Also known as the inverted-T incision, the anchor incision begins as a lollipop incision, but an additional incision is made along the inframammary fold (the breast crease). This incision is used for women who require more extensive correction.
What Will My Breast Lift Recovery Be Like?
After your breast lift procedure, you will experience some swelling, bruising, and general soreness and tightness in your breasts. This is completely normal and will dissipate within a week or two.
Breast lift recovery takes about six weeks for most patients. During this time, you will need to wear a compression garment, which will help reduce swelling, speed your recovery time, and improve your final results.
Additionally, you need to make sure to allow your body to get the rest it needs. This means that you must refrain from any strenuous activity, including exercise and lifting anything of weight.
It is important that you follow Dr. Hadeed’s post-op instructions.
What Results Can I Expect From My Breast Lift?
After your breast lift, you will be able to enjoy lifted and perkier breasts that will allow you to look as young as you feel. With a successful breast lift, you’ll be able to show off your sexy figure under the Miami sun.
While you will be able to see immediate improvement to the appearance of your breasts, your final results will take anywhere from six to 12 weeks to become apparent (as the swelling subsides).
Frequently Asked Questions About Breast Lift
Am I a candidate for breast lift surgery?
If you are frustrated with the appearance of your sagging breasts, then breast lift surgery may be the right choice for you. Ideal candidates are non-smoking women, who are in good general health and have realistic expectations for their results.
At your consultation, Dr. Hadeed will be able to tell you if breast lift surgery is the right procedure for you.
Can I combine my breast lift with other procedures?
Absolutely! While having a breast lift as a standalone procedure can give you transformative results, many women choose to combine their mastopexy with breast augmentation surgery for more complete results. One of the reasons for this is the fact that a breast lift does not increase the size or volume of the breasts. Because of this, many women choose to have breast augmentation with a lift, where the size and shape of their breasts are improved with the use of breast implants (either saline implants or silicone implants) or fat transfer while also being lifted to a higher position.
Women who are unhappy with the large or cumbersome size of their breasts can also consider combining their lift with breast reduction.
Will my breast lift hurt?
Because breast lift surgery is performed under general anesthesia, you will not feel any pain or discomfort during your procedure. You should expect to feel some tenderness and even pain during the week after your breast lift. Prescription and over-the-counter medication can be taken to alleviate any pain you might feel.
However, if you experience prolonged or increased pain, then make sure to contact Dr. Hadeed immediately.
How much is a breast lift in Miami?
As with any plastic surgery procedure, the cost of your Miami breast lift will vary depending on the specifics of the surgery, including the extent of correction made and the type of incision used. Dr. Hadeed can provide you with an accurate cost estimate during your consultation.
