When the eyebrows fall from their natural position, a hooded appearance around the eyebrows and eyelids can make you look significantly older, tired, and angry.
A brow lift, or forehead lift, can reduce horizontal forehead wrinkles, vertical creases between the eyebrows, and folds around the upper nose. A brow lift can also reposition the eyebrows to restore a youthful, more vibrant facial structure.
Consultation
Brow lift surgery is an individualized procedure, and Dr. Hadeed will assess your expectations and needs to develop a customized surgical plan.
During your consultation, Dr. Hadeed will evaluate the severity and underlying cause of your facial aging issues. There are different techniques when it comes to performing brow lift surgery. Dr. Hadeed will decide the right method for you based on the amount of eyebrow drooping, the position of your hairline, and your individual goals.

Brow Lift Techniques
With Dr. Hadeed’s guidance, you can customize your brow lift surgery.
There are three common techniques used for brow lift surgery:
Traditional Brow Lift
In the traditional brow lift, the incision will run behind the hairline from ear to ear. Although this method allows for the most lift and removal of excess skin, it has lost its popularity because of its extent of scarring. In select cases, however, it remains a very effective method.
Endoscopic Brow Lift
An endoscopic brow lift involves making several small incisions behind the hairline. With the use of a small camera, Dr. Hadeed is able to visualize the muscles of the forehead. He will then lift the forehead skin and remove excess fat and muscle responsible for wrinkles and sagging eyebrows. Since no skin is removed in this technique, it is more suited for patients who do not require the removal of excess skin.
Limited Incision Lift
In a limited incision lift (lateral brow lift), Dr. Hadeed uses small incisions concealed within the hairline along the temples. He will then lift the skin and remove any excess skin from along the lateral portions of the forehead. Since this technique only addresses the lateral areas of the brows and does not raise the middle or inner portions of the brow, it is best suited for improving the appearance of lateral eyelid droop and crow’s feet.

Common Combination Procedures
It is common to combine your brow lift surgery with other facial rejuvenation techniques.
- Eyelid surgery: This addresses the upper and lower eyelids to eliminate eyelid hooding that is not caused by sagging brows and puffy bags beneath the eyes.
- Facelift surgery: This addresses the lower two-thirds to maintain facial balance and harmony.
Have More Concerns About Brow Lift Surgery?
Recovery
Your recovery after brow lift surgery will depend on the techniques used and the facial rejuvenation procedures combined. Generally, most patients feel comfortable returning to daily activities after a few days. Dr. Hadeed may cover your incisions with small bandages and advise you to apply ointment. Most patients have moderate swelling and bruising after surgery, which typically resolves within one week. It is important not to disturb the area until the healing is fully complete.
Scars
It is likely to develop scars after brow lift surgery; however, these will be concealed in the natural hairline. All scars will fade over time.
Cost
The cost of brow lift surgery will depend on the techniques used, anesthesia fees, surgeon’s fees, facility fees, and added costs of any combination procedures. During your consultation, you will be provided with an accurate cost of your procedure.
Pain
General anesthesia is administered before the surgery to minimize pain felt during and after the surgery. If the pain persists, Dr. Hadeed can prescribe pain medication to ease any discomfort.
Typically, patients feel very little pain after brow lift surgery. It is common to feel minor discomfort and tightness near the incisions during the recovery.
Results
Your results will become noticeable once the swelling and bruising subside. You can expect to look younger and more energized after brow lift surgery.
